Archaeological Research Services Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of their London office. The office is located in Hackney, right on the doorstep of a vibrant and dramatically changing development landscape, and is managed by Lawrence Pontin, who has over 30 years’ experience within Archaeology.
The office sits next to the Lee Navigation Canal as it enters the Olympic Park at Stratford – the Olympic stadium being visible from our building. From the 1980s the development of the Lee Valley Park and then, from 2005, the Olympic Park and Stadium, has experienced a vivid and lively change. Archaeological investigations at the Olympic Park have revealed a much older history for this area, however, as they showed it to have formed part of a rich prehistoric settlement landscape later crossed by the Roman road from London to Colchester.
