We are delighted to announce that ARS Ltd has transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), marking an exciting new chapter for the company.
This significant milestone in our evolution reflects our long-term commitment to sustainable growth, shared benefit for employees and continued excellence in service delivery. Previously operating under a single-director ownership model, ARS Ltd is now led by three Directors: Clive Waddington, Will Throssel and John Duffy.
The Directors will continue to be supported by the experienced leadership team that has guided the company to date. This continuity ensures that our day-to-day operations, project delivery and management remain unchanged.
Giving our employees a meaningful stake in the company’s future will foster an even more motivated, invested and collaborative workforce. In turn, this will strengthen the service we provide to our clients and stakeholders.
For our clients and stakeholders, the transition provides continuity in the people, expertise and service they rely on, while strengthening the company for the future.
According to CEO and Director, Will Throssel:
“Becoming employee owned is a natural next step for ARS Ltd and an exciting opportunity to build on the strong foundations established by Clive and the wider team. As CEO, my priority is to ensure that our clients continue to receive the expertise, responsiveness and high-quality service they expect from us. The people our clients know and trust remain in place, supported by the same experienced leadership team.”
Our founder and Director, Clive Waddington, reflects on the transition:
“Founding and developing Archaeological Research Services into a leading archaeological company has fulfilled an ambition that first took root 35 years ago. It has been an exciting journey, and the transition to an EOT opens a new chapter in the history of the business. Sharing ownership of the company with the entire team completes the vision I started with and puts a strong wind in our sails as we move forward and grow, guided by our vision, mission and culture. I remain a Director and very much involved, now working alongside two co-directors and our long-established leadership team. Together, we will continue to guide the company to success and deliver excellent services and high-quality work for our clients. The adventure continues!”
