Once again, the hugely successful Community Archaeology Radiocarbon Dating (CARD) fund is open and looking for applications for 2021.

What is the CARD Fund?

Established and sponsored by Archaeological Research Services Ltd and the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), the CARD Fund provides radiocarbon dates for the voluntary sector throughout the UK via an annual application round.

How the Fund has helped community archaeology projects

To date, we have provided funding for a total of fifty two radiocarbon dates from thirty six different projects across archaeological sites in the UK. These have been for projects from every major archaeological period and have helped community groups establish well-dated and valuable insights into many aspects of the British archaeological story.

How the CARD Fund can help you

To find out more about the CARD Fund, including how your community archaeology group can apply, please visit the CARD Fund website for details.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2021.
