The Community Archaeology Radiocarbon Dating (CARD) fund is entering its final month for applications for 2022, so there’s only a little time left to get your entries in!

WHAT IS THE CARD FUND?

Established and sponsored by Archaeological Research Services Ltd and the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), the CARD Fund provides radiocarbon dates for the voluntary sector throughout the UK via an annual application round.

HOW THE FUND HAS HELPED COMMUNITY ARCHAEOLOGY PROJECTS

To date, we have provided funding for projects from every major archaeological period in the UK and have helped community groups establish well-dated and valuable insights into many aspects of the British archaeological story. Here’s an example of how the CARD Fund helped the Glaslyn Prehistory Project with a site in Snowdonia, Wales.

HOW THE CARD FUND CAN HELP YOU

To find out more about the CARD Fund, including how your community archaeology group can apply, see our CARD Fund page or visit the CARD Fund website directly.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2022.
