Whirlow Hall Farm Heritage Project
The Whirlow Hall Farm Heritage Project is a partnership project between Whirlow Hall Farm Trust and ARS Ltd, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This exciting project, on the western edge of Sheffield, will comprise training, participation and other learning activities including archival research, building recording of the historic farm, geophysical survey, fieldwalking and excavation. We are inviting local schools, community groups, volunteers and visitors to come and take part in the discovery and recording of the history of Whirlow Hall Farm.
The results of the investigations will be used to develop a heritage trail around the farm estate so that visitors to the farm can continue to enjoy the rich heritage of the area. ARS Ltd will also be leading walks and talks about the heritage of Whirlow Hall Farm through the life of the project and these will be advertised here.
If you would like to take part in this project, or receive more information, then please contact Jessika Sheppy by email or by telephone on 01629 814540.
