Vacancies:

We currently have a vacancy for the position below:

Archaeobotanical Specialist and Archaeologist (Bakewell or Sheffield)

£23,000 with generous benefits package

3 months probation leading to permanent position
Applications are invited for a professional, highly motivated and capable archaeobotanist with an excellent track record in producing high quality reports on botanical macrofossils and with the ability to identify charred wood samples. You must also have experience in, and be willing to undertake, general archaeological tasks including fieldwork and project work. You will need to have excellent English skills and will be responsible for completing environmental assessments and analyses on commercial and research-based archaeological projects. A good knowledge of British archaeology is highly desirable as well as a track record in reports and publication. You must have strong IT skills and be able to work as an effective team member who can be relied on to deliver to tight deadlines. The post will be located in our Bakewell or Sheffield offices and you will be responsible to the Operations Manager and via him to our Senior Archaeologist.

The post is tenable from 21st February 2011, or shortly thereafter, and subject to successful completion of a 3 month probationary period, will become a permanent position thereafter.
